Dr. Panicker’s dual role as a clinician and a social activist has garnered significant recognition:

  • Best Doctor Award (2007): Conferred by the Government of Kerala for his outstanding service to the state’s healthcare system.   

  • Distinguished Service Award: Presented by the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) and the Association of Kerala Medical Graduates (AKMG) in the USA, recognizing his contributions to the global medical community.   

  • Distinguished President’s Award: Honored by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) for his exceptional leadership of the Trivandrum branch.   

  • Distinguished Alumnus: Trivandrum Medical College.   

Research and Publications

Dr. Panicker contributes actively to medical literature and public health discourse:

  • Journal of the Indian Medical Association (JIMA): He has authored reports and articles on the “National Initiative for Safe Sound,” documenting the progress of anti-noise campaigns.   

  • Scientific Papers: His academic interests span a wide range of ENT topics, including Tinnitus management, Thyroidectomy complications, and Sleep Apnea.   

  • The “Safe Sound” Guide: A pivotal public health document he coordinated, used as a reference for noise control advocacy.
